The Producer Career Catalyst Accelerator Platform (PCCAP) is the natural evolution of IMPACT's groundbreaking Producer Career Catalyst Program.
Building on its proven success, the PCCAP expands and deepens the model – delivering rigorous training, robust business education, and meaningful industry placements that empower Black producers to thrive.
More than an accelerator, PCCAP is a pathway to ownership. By equipping participants with business fluency, leadership skills, global market access, and sustainable company-building strategies, the accelerator empowers Black producers to reshape the screen industry from within and establish thriving, Black-owned production companies.
Program Structure
PCCAP is a three-year, three-phase accelerator designed to elevate producers at key career milestones
Year One — Phase I
Foundational Building
Reset & Leadership Development
Focused on Black entrepreneurship and leadership reset, this phase provides customized workshops, curated program syllabus and expert mentorship. Producers sharpen creative strategies, strengthen business models, and re-establish clarity and confidence as leaders.
Year Two — Phase II
Capacity Building
Market Readiness & Capital Fluency
Expands participants’ readiness for markets and investment by deepening capital fluency, co-production strategies, and global pitching skills. Producers learn to navigate funding pathways, manage cash flow, and engage effectively with distributors, buyers, and sales agents – positioning their companies for growth.
Year Three — Phase III
Sustainability Building
Global Access & Business Longevity
Focuses on long-term business integration and global access. Producers solidify their companies with advanced legal literacy, intellectual property management, executive wellness coaching, and innovation strategies – from AI strategy to international market positioning. This phase ensures producers not only build sustainable companies but also scale their leadership onto the global stage.
Together, these three phases create a holistic accelerator that moves producers from resetting their foundations, to expanding their capacity, to building a legacy of ownership and sustainability.
What Participants Gain
Business Infrastructure: company structuring, hiring, operational planning, budgeting for growth.
Capital & Financing: deal structuring, funding pathways, cash flow management, and capital fluency.
Creative Strategy: story development, script feedback, packaging, and intellectual property assessment.
Legal Literacy: contracts, licensing, chain of title, option agreements.
Participants are immersed in a holistic curriculum that builds both business fluency and creative excellence
Market Fluency: co-productions, pitch development, working with distributors and sales agents.
Innovation & IP: AI in production, virtual environments, and applications for IP protection.
Wellness & Leadership: executive coaching, financial sustainability, and resilience tools to lead with clarity and purpose.

The Producer Career Catalyst Accelerator Platform (PCCAP) is designed for Black producers at critical turning points in their careers
Early Career Producers who have begun establishing their work and are ready to move from early-career to mid-career status, gaining the business fluency, leadership mindset, and industry access needed to scale.
Established mid-career Black producers from across Canada, with a strong spotlight on producers based in Quebec’s OLMC communities.
These producers are poised to expand their companies, secure sustainable financing, and strengthen their positioning in the global marketplace. By addressing both the national landscape and the regional nuances of Canada’s screen sector, PCCAP ensures that Black producers from coast to coast are equipped with the tools, networks, and confidence to lead and sustain thriving production companies.
Together, these cohorts form a powerful pipeline of Black producers building ownership, leadership, and lasting impact in the screen industries.
Key Objective
Foundation Reset & Leadership Development
Designed to give Black producers the critical reset and long-term strategy needed to move from survival into sustainable ownership and leadership. Across three structured phases, the accelerator provides rigorous business training, capital fluency, creative development, and wellness support that equip producers with the tools to thrive.
The objective is not simply professional growth – it is about cultivating a new generation of Black producers who can command ownership, secure financing, build sustainable companies, and lead with clarity. By strengthening business models, sharpening creative strategies, and embedding innovation, PCCAP positions producers not only to compete in the global screen industry, but to set the standard for innovation, sustainability, and Black leadership worldwide.
