How We Work
We don’t just advocate –
we activate
Our work is rooted in one clear mission: to teach the business of filmmaking and create sustainable pathways to ownership, leadership, and global market access for Black mid-career producers in Canada and across the diaspora.
Through our flagship programs and industry initiatives, we equip Black producers with the tools to own their IP, build sustainable companies, gain access to capital, and lead at a global level. We remove gatekeepers, create new corridors of opportunity, and fuel ecosystems that are self-sustaining, community-rooted, and globally recognized.
We don’t just create access – we create power.
Our Vision
We envision a screen industry where Black producers:
Own their intellectual property, ensuring sovereignty over their stories.
Lead globally competitive companies that are innovative, profitable, and sustainable.
Shape cultural, economic, and policy futures with the authority and influence they deserve.
This is not about fitting into a system that was never designed for us. This is about redefining what’s possible.
