Canada Media Fund announces measures to support racialized creators
Toronto, November 5, 2020 - The Canada Media Fund (CMF) today announced additional measures to support screen-based creators, organizations and businesses from racialized communities. The CMF is pleased to announce it has doubled funding to the COVID Emergency Relief Funds to Black and People of Colour, to $8M from the previously announced $4M.

The Independent Media Producers Association of Creative Talent (IMPACT) is a national advocacy organization for all independent media producers in Canada, created in order to unify our voices to better support members from Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour producers and creators of all genders, sexual identities, disabilities , LGBTQ2SI+, underrepresented and marginalized independent producers and production companies in the Canadian and Quebec Film, Television and Media industries.
