I.M.P.A.C.T is working to secure a bright future for those of Afro-descent and who identify as Black producers of all intersectional identities in Canada and Québec. We understand the challenges facing producers from the Black community and we have the collective strength and expertise to advocate for an equitable, fair and prosperous entertainment industry. All of our advocacy work, programs, activities and events serve one goal: to uplift, amplify and ensure the success of our members. Take a look at one of our key accomplishments in 2020.
Each I.M.P.A.C.T member and member company also commits to fostering a workplace free from racist actions, discrimination, harassment and bullying, including the promotion of and adherence to a code of conduct.

Each member of I.M.P.A.C.T will have the opportunity to join a committee and subcommittee to help advocate on behalf of the organization. The representation of our Board of Directors means that I.M.P.A.C.T is always TRUTHFULLY representing those of Afro-descent and who identify as Black producers!
Members will also have the chance to work directly on specific industry initiatives through our committees and subcommittees. In addition, I.M.P.A.C.T will partner with other marginalized organizations in order to provide members with access to broadcasters, production equipment, as well as legal, accounting, production and post-production services. I.M.P.A.C.T will also create and host workshops, panel discussions, industry events, professional training and anti-oppression/anti-racism training.
I.M.P.A.C.T's upcoming career trajectory programs will connect our members with other marginalized and like-minded organizations in order to support and nurture the careers of the next crop of producers of Afro-descent and that identify as Black. By tapping into the wealth of Canadian Black mentors that already exist and pairing them with the next class of Afro-descent and those who identify as Black producers of all intersectional identities, I.M.P.A.C.T will ensure the baton is passed in a smooth way to ensure a furious new era of Black Excellence is ushered in.
I.M.P.A.C.T will work with its members to determine their priorities for professional development, and then will develop and/or partner with other like-minded organizations to create workshops, panels, webcasts and other networking events in order to help create business opportunities and build capacity for member companies in Canada and Internationally. Members will also receive discounts for business-boosting professional development courses, workshops and industry events.
