Samantha Kaine

Samantha Kaine is a Jamaican-Canadian, award-winning independent film and television creative producer, advocate, mentor and alumna of the prestigious Cineplex Entertainment Producers’ Lab Program at the Canadian Film Centre.
A strong supporter for the advancement of emerging under-represented voices and talent, Samantha is a strong promoter of the necessary unification of voices in order to advocate for the fair, safe and equitable access to funding and equitable work environments. Samantha is a mentor with the Black Wealth Media production company, a Montréal-based production company which develops and produces afro-centric content.
Samantha champions talent, innovation and excellence, advocating for proper and truthful representation on screen. Her passion includes working with marginalized and under-represented voices both in front of - and behind - the camera.
Continuing her critical work to dismantle systemic racism, Samantha sits on the Board of the Canadian Independent Screen Fund for Black and People of Colour (CSIF) and is actively involved in the Telefilm Inclusion & Diversity Group and the Telefilm Industry Panel.
